Family journeys and adventures offer all sorts of opportunities to learn about all sorts of things - landscapes, climates, cultures, people, natural wonders, environmental issues, politics, history, languages and so much more. You name it, you can probably think of a way to learn it on the road. Travelling as a family provides other opportunities too: to learn from each other, about each other and with each other. Time spent with family in unfamiliar environments often brings discoveries of new skills and capabilities, hidden talents, even annoying habits. Through our talks, speeches and coaching we aim to spread the word about family adventure, share what we have learnt about how to use it as a vehicle for learning and most importantly, inspire and encourage others to give it a go. And with eight years experience adventuring first with one, then two and now three children, cycling, sailing, canoeing, railroad-riding and road-tripping, in the UK, Holland, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, USA, Canada, Samoa and New Zealand, and contact around the world with other active adventurous families, we've plenty to talk about. |

One of the ways we enjoy spreading the news is by getting involved with schools or colleges and their formal or informal educational activities. You can follow our journeys via our website, even interact with us using Twitter, Facebook, email or via our blogs, giving you a chance to get involved in our travels from the classroom. We may be able to arrange visits to your school or college, give talks, chat informally to interested students or parents, or deliver interactive question and answer sessions or themed lessons. Whether you're in business or run a community group, we love to entertain, inspire and inform by talking with people about family adventures and related themes. We offer talks, presentations, after-dinner speeches or discussions suitable for conferences, festivals, business or community meetings. Delivered by family members, these humorous, informative and motivational sessions draw upon our research and experience of family adventure, give insight into what families adventuring together can achieve and provide first hand accounts of our own experiences. With notice, sessions may be tailored to address particular business, conference or festival themes or interests. Families can be the ultimate in mixed ability, age and interest groups and we've plenty of lessons to share about motivating, inspiring and developing a family team through adventure challenge. If you'd like to get out there adventuring and you don't know where to begin, then our coaching and advice services may be what you need. We offer a unique range of services dedicated to helping families acquire the skills and confidence to organise their own independent family adventures. We don't organise expeditions but will help you do it yourself. With us you'ill have available to you the collective knowledge,wisdom and experience of The Family Adventure Project and its evolving network of families around the world already adventuring together.
