Education & Coaching

Inspiring families to live adventurously, promoting independent family adventure

The Educational Potential of Family Adventure

Family journeys and adventures have great educational potential. Travel offers all sorts of opportunities to learn about landscapes, climates, cultures, people, natural wonders, environmental issues, politics, history, languages and so much more. You name it, you can probably think of a way to learn it on the road.

Travelling as a family provides other opportunities too: to learn from each other, about each other and with each other. Time spent with family in unfamiliar environments can bring discoveries of new capabilities, hidden talents and annoying habits.

Our Education and Coaching work aims to spread the word about family adventure, share what we learn about how to use it as a vehicle for learning and most importantly, encourage others to give it a go.

We want to share our passion, learning and ideas with others.

Educational service for schools and colleges   Speeches for business and communities   Coaching help and advice for families

One of the ways we enjoy spreading the news is by getting involved with schools or colleges and their formal or informal educational activities.

We may be able to arrange visits to your school or college, give talks, chat informally to interested students or parents, or deliver interactive question and answer sessions or themed lessons.

We could strike up an email relationship with staff and students, sending you stories and updates while we are on the road, giving you a chance to get involved in our travels from the classroom.

We could help by linking what we are doing to areas of your curriculum. Or you may have other ideas on how to use us! If you do don't hesitate to get in touch.

Whether you're in business or run a community group, you may be interested in hearing us speak first hand about what it's like to adventure together as a family.

If you are, we can come and deliver presentations and after-dinner speeches suitable for conferences, festivals, business or community meetings.

Delivered by family members, these humorous, informative and motivational sessions will draw upon our research and experience of family adventure and give some insight into what families adventuring together can achieve.

With notice, sessions may be tailored to address particular business, conference or festival themes or interests. If you'd like to know more please get in touch.

If you'd like to get out there adventuring and you don't know where to begin, then our coaching and advice services may be what you need.

We offer a unique range of services dedicated to helping families acquire the skills and confidence to organise their own independent family adventures.

We will not organise an expedition for you but will help you do it yourself. With us you will have available to you the collective knowledge, wisdom and experience of The Family Adventure Project and its evolving network of families around the world already adventuring together.

We will work with you to help you to make your family adventure dream a reality. Find out more here.
