Tell Us Your Story
Inspiring families to live adventurously, promoting independent family adventure

Got something to say about family adventure?

If you've got something to say about family adventure, we'd love to hear from you. Here's four options for you. Pick the one that suits you best and get in touch.

1 Send us an email
* A quick, easy and immediate way to get in touch
* Got something you want to say right now about family adventure - why wait?
* Questions, comments, idea, suggestions or feedback on the project or site - all welcome

2 Complete our family adventure survey
* We're researching family adventure and want to hear about your experiences.
* Let us know about what you got up to by completing our online survey.
* Questions about you and your family, what you've done, what you got out of it.
* Only takes a short while to complete.
* Your responses will be treated in confidence and will inform our research project.
* In time, results and findings will be published here on the project web-site.
* For privacy and survey small print click here

3 Write your own family adventure story
We're actively encouraging people to put pen to paper, or finger to keyboard, and write up their own short stories about their experiences of family adventure.

Writing your own story is a great way to revive memories of adventures-past, get the family talking about amazing things you've done together, record family tales for future generations, or generate enthusiasm for another trip.

You don't have to be a professional writer to do it. We'll give you guidance on what we're looking for, support you as you find your voice, encourage if you're stuck, help you get your story told. More details here.

We will use submitted stories to inform our research, publishing the best of them on our web-site to inspire others, and including exceptional tales in our book about adventuresome families.

We're also planning a family adventure story competition for 2005, especially for new writers and children. Write and enter a story and you could be a prize winning writer too!

Want to know more? Then get in touch

4 Allow us to tell your story
Writing is not for everyone. If you have a significant story to tell but don't want to write it yourself, we may be able to help you tell it through a professional writer or radio producer.

We're still working out the details on this but as a first step we'll probably ask you to give us some background information about your family and its' adventure experiences.

Then, time and money permitting, we'll arrange for a professional writer or radio producer to correspond with and interview you about your experiences.

Through a collaborative creative process, they will develop and write up a story or produce an audio piece about you and your experiences.

Again, we'll publish the best stories on our web-site and hope to include exceptional tales in our book about adventuresome families. Audio stories may be published on the web or possibly compiled into a programme for broadcast.

All stories and information gathered will help inform our research project and will only be published with your permission.

Drop us an email if you're interested.
