We're a community project aspiring to make our local villages places where people feel confident to use their bicycles for local journeys. In other words: Wheely Good Communities.
We're here to support people who want to use their bikes instead of cars:
- to go to work, school or college
- for shopping or running errands
- to visit friends, relatives or local attractions
- for health, fitness, leisure or pleasure
So if you want to give your car a rest and your legs a gentle spin, let us help you get out in the fresh air, see the local countryside, and find a quiet backroad way to get where you want to go by bike.
Thanks to funding from Lancaster City Council, Cycling England, Kellogg's Active Living Fund, Arnside & Silverdale AONB and Cumbria County Council Neighbourhood Forum we're able to offer FREE in village support for cycling including:
You can find out more about the project here on the website, by downloading our leaflet (pdf), listening to an interview (mp3) about the project or by giving us a call. If you're running a local event, we have a Wheely Good Roadshow we can bring to you to help spread the word. We welcome your feedback, suggestions for developing the project and of course any offers of help and support.
