Equipment Loans
We have a small range of bikes and family cycling equipment

  • available for free short term loan to local residents
  • loans on first come, first served basis
  • to try before you buy or just get out for the day
  • details of the terms and conditions of loan (pdf)
  • to check availability, please email or call us
  • free loan but donations welcome for maintenance
 

 

Tag Along
usually suitable for kids age 4+
  • fixes to seat post of your bike
  • tags along behind you as you ride
  • child can pedal (or not!)
  • child can try out gears
  • enables you to do longer rides
  • ride with young kids safely on road
 

 

Trailer
for kids age about 1-4 years

  • universal hitch fits most bikes
  • pull the trailer behind your bike
  • takes up to 2 children
  • child can read, play, look out
  • protected from weather
  • you can carry baggage too
 

 

 

 

Child Seat
for babies (~6 months) to age 3/4

  • simple fitting to your seattube
  • child sits close behind you
  • child can see, hear, chat
  • exposed to the weather
  • baby's neck must be strong enough
  • take young kids out riding with you
 

 

Bicycles
general purpose bicycles for adults:

  • single or 7 gear
  • ideal for short local rides
  • upright riding position
  • use with trailer, seat, tagalong
  • tyres for road or bridleway
  • not got a bike? no excuse!
 

 

Helmets
for head protection

  • not legally required in UK
  • we recommend use
  • protection in event of accident
  • need right size for child/adult
  • must be properly adjusted
  • small range available
